The Royal Society is the world's oldest science organisation. To celebrate its 350th birthday, a set of 10 commemorative stamps were issued in 2010 featuring its most illustrious members.The split-design stamps feature the luminaries' portraits paired with dramatic and colorful 'brainstorming' imagery representing their achievements.

Fraunhofer Lines : The Rainbow Lines

This stamp has been issued by Geraman Post to commemorate 225^th anniversary of German physicist Joseph von Fraunhofer (1787–1826) . In physics (optics) , the Fraunhofer lines are a set of spectral lines named after Joseph von Fraunhofer The lines were originally observed as dark features (absorption lines) in the optical spectrum of the Sun.

Here is a beautiful round stamp with a rainbow full of sweet smell of stwaberries issued by Korea on 4 May 2007. I wish I could get this beautiful stamp for my collection.

Stamps depicting a Rainbow are always my favorite. I recently received these beautiful stamps from my blogger friend Mr. Kasinath from Madurai. Thanks a lot Mr.Kasinath for these nice stamps. These stamps were issued by Thailand on 14 January 1989 on the occasion of National Children's Day.
